Review:

The War of Two Queens is the fourth book in the Blood and Ash series, but I highly recommend reading A Shadow in the Ember (Flesh and Fire #1) before reading this one. ASITE takes place long before Poppy’s time and is the story of the Primals and gods. It truly explains a lot of the why in this one!

I loved this book so much! I’ve heard about there being some complaints from some early readers, and I have to say that I don’t get it. I thought that the character growth in this story was essential and things were done very tastefully and well. The last couple hundred pages of the book more than made up for the slow pacing in the beginning, and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series. Poppy, Casteel, and Kieran all hold a special place in my heart.
