True love has never been more deadly in this lush sequel to the best-selling Emmie and the Tudor King.

For an extraordinary love, Emmie Grace has given up her life in the modern world to move to the sixteenth century and marry the Tudor king she bravely saved from a dreadful fate. However, not everyone is pleased to see the glorious King Nick betrothed to the unknown and uncultured Emmie—especially the noblemen commanded to protect her.

As Emmie is drawn deeper into Nick’s sumptuous and savage world—where beheadings are way more popular than time travelers—the Tudor court heads on progress across the country, and a growing rebellion against the promised queen looms.51rvZeg-lWL

*I received an arc of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

I loved this sequel so much! I really enjoyed the first book, Emmie and the Tudor King, but I wound up enjoying this one even more.  If you love Tudor England, time travel, and romance, you’ll definitely love this book! Natalie has way of drawing you into her stories, and you feel like you’re living in that world.

The story starts off right where the first book left off. Emmie and Nick head back to England to announce their betrothal. Emmie has essentially given up her life in the modern world to go to the sixteenth century and marry King Nicholas. She soon finds that not everyone is pleased about their betrothal, especially the noblemen who are supposed to protect her. Emmie goes through so much in this book. Her heart is torn between the two worlds, and she’s once again faced with difficult choices to make. I felt that Nick showed growth in this story also, as he had difficult choices to make as well. Other familiar characters are back in this book that I grew to love even more, and we are also introduced to some intriguing new characters. Get ready for an adventure, as there are so many twists and turns, you won’t want to put the book down!

I hope that you will add this one to your TBR. It just released yesterday, so you can pick it up now! I am crossing my fingers that we get a third book, because I need more Nick and Emmie in my life! I need to know what their future holds.
