There’s a curse that plagues Azenor. During each new moon, magic flows from the mountain and brings peoples worst nightmares to life. The only thing that can stand between people and their terrible dreams are magicians, who serve as territory wardens.

Clementine Madigan is a magician in training and plans to take over as warden of her small town, Hereswith, when her father, also a magician, steps down. As Clementine is preparing for her new roll, two young magicians come to challenge her for the position and she finds herself drawn into a conflict that is at least a century old. Clementine suffers a devastating loss and vengeance becomes her motivation. On her quest for revenge, she is forced to become closer to Phelan, one of those young magicians she met, and things begin to come to light that they never could have imagined. She must unite with her rival to fight the curse, which seems to be unfurling all around her.

A book that I loved from start to finish, and perfect for fantasy lovers. I’m so grateful that I was able to read an early copy. Coming November 2, 2021 from Quill Tree Books.
